Combine themes

Filter by what’s happening in the scene, the things and people in it, or the weather and time of day. Combine themes to find cards that match all of them, such as a picnic at sunset. Each choice shows how many illustrations match. Choices with no matches are hidden.

Find Pokémon cameos

Plenty of cards have a second Pokémon somewhere in the scene. Search for a Pokémon and choose whether you want cards where it is the star, cards where it makes a cameo, or both.

The cameo list is still growing. Gumdex leaves out uncertain matches, and each card’s page lists the other Pokémon it has identified in the illustration.

Search for anything in the picture

Type what you’re looking for, such as a sandwich, an umbrella or a lighthouse, and Gumdex searches its illustration descriptions. On a card’s page, its place and themes link back to the art search, so one card leads to more like it.

Tags are a work in progress

Tens of thousands of cards have tags, and some are wrong. We’re reviewing them and improving them over time. If you spot a mistake, choose “Suggest a correction” under the tags on the card’s page. We check each suggestion, and 25 approved ones earn you Ultra.
