Contributor terms

• You took the photo or made the scan yourself, of a card in front of you.
• It is not copied from another website, shop, marketplace or catalogue, and it has no watermark, logo or other person’s mark on it.
• It shows the card you sent it for, and nothing else you would not want public (people, addresses, documents).

You keep the rights you have in your photo. By sending it, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, crop, resize, re-encode and display the photo on Gumdex as that card’s image, and to let our service providers do the same on our behalf. We do not sell your photo or license it to anyone else.

The card’s artwork and text belong to their owners (see “Trademarks and card images” in the terms of use). Your licence covers only what is yours: the photo itself.

• Nothing you send is shown until we approve it. We may reject a photo for any reason, and we tell you why.
• An approved photo is credited on the card’s page with the name you chose when you sent it, or shown without a name if you chose to stay anonymous.
• An approved photo also marks the card as owned in the list you sent it from, or in your first list.
• When 5 of your photos have been approved, your account is upgraded to Ultra at no cost.

You can withdraw a photo while it is waiting for review from your account page. To remove an approved photo, ask through the contact form and we will take it down; the licence then ends, apart from copies that remain for a limited time in backups and caches. Closing your account removes your photos and their credit.

If you believe a photo on Gumdex is yours and was sent without your permission, or infringes your rights, tell us through the contact form or by email at gumdexapp@gmail.com and we will review it promptly. The copyright complaints section of the terms explains what to include.

Rejected and withdrawn photos are deleted within about 30 days. Approved photos are kept while they are in use. The privacy policy has the details.
