Acceptable use policy
Effective October 3, 2026
This policy explains what is not allowed on Gumdex. It is part of the terms of use. It is not a complete list: we may act on other behaviour that harms Gumdex, its users or anyone else.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by anyone you let use it, and by anyone who gets in because you did not take reasonable care of your email account. You are also responsible for everything you add to Gumdex, such as list names, display names, card notes and wishlist notes.
Accounts and security
Do not:
- access or try to access another person’s account, private list or data without permission;
- get around, probe or test the site’s security, sign-in, level limits or sharing controls, for example by guessing share links;
- upload viruses or other malicious code, or interfere with the site’s servers or networks;
- create accounts automatically or in bulk, or use someone else’s email address to sign up.
If you find a security problem, please report it through the contact form instead of using it. We welcome good-faith reports.
Scraping and automated use
Do not:
- scrape, crawl, copy or bulk-download the catalogue, card images or other people’s data;
- use bots, scripts or other automated tools against the site, apart from ordinary browser features;
- send so many requests that it slows the service down for others, or try to take it offline;
- mirror, resell or build a competing product from material taken from Gumdex.
Content
Do not add content to Gumdex, or share content from it, that:
- is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene or sexually explicit;
- harasses, threatens or bullies anyone, or promotes hatred or discrimination against any group or person;
- encourages violence or puts anyone’s health or safety at risk;
- infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- contains someone else’s personal information without their permission.
Gumdex and levels
Do not:
- pretend to be Gumdex or its staff, or claim a partnership with or endorsement from us that does not exist;
- try to earn Ultra by sending photos you did not take, or by any other trick to get around how levels are earned;
- break consumer protection or other laws while using Gumdex.
Fair use
Gumdex is built for people tracking their own collections. If your use is far beyond what that normally needs, for example a very large number of lists, invites or requests, we may contact you and may limit it to protect the service.
What we may do
If we believe this policy has been broken, we may, depending on how serious it is:
- give you a warning;
- remove or hide content, or turn off share links and invites;
- limit, suspend or close your account;
- report illegal activity to the authorities when the law requires it or when someone is at risk.
Where it is practical and lawful, we will tell you what we did and why, and you can reply if you think we got it wrong.
Reporting a problem
To report abuse, a shared list that breaks this policy, or content that infringes your rights, use the contact form or email gumdexapp@gmail.com. Include the link to the content and a short description.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy by publishing a new version on this page. A new version applies from the earlier of your next use of Gumdex after it is published and 30 days after it is published.
